Salem Gardens Community Gardening(SGCG): Beginning Monday, April 23rd Salem Gardens is offering the opportunity for individuals or families to share in the produce gardening and take home harvest for the season now through November. Nothing is more healtful or delicious than freshly picked produce. Children are often more interested in trying and eating food they have helped grow and pick. The fee is $20.00, includes the expectation of work such as watering, weeding, and planting. Much is already planted, but as the season progresses we need to tend and replant. Mary Collins will be at the gardens on most Mondays(10-2), Wed.(5-7) and Sat.(8:00-9:30) Once you have met with Mary you are free to come and do "chores" on your preferred schedule and take home harvest. Contact Mary at veganmary@mindspring.com with questions.
