Quality plants at affordable prices. Salem Gardens is a locally owned business offering a variety of specialty services including lawn maintenance, consultation and landscaping. A customer oriented business, Salem Gardens is available for pick up and delivery of custom designed container gardens. We invite our cutomers to pot their containers on site and
are always willing to offer suggestions.
Happy New Year! We still have a few pansies and a good selection of container gardens. Looking for winter color? Plant an ornamental kale, red mustard or swiss chard. All are cold hardy and edible too.
What's new for Salem Gardens? This year we'll be having several workshops. Informational and hands on. Pruning, propogating, container gardening...just to name a few. (See the proposed schedule at bottom left of page.)
What can you expect in the spring? On our gallery page you'll find a partial list of plants Salem Garden plans to offer this season. Depending on weather most will be for sale after mid April. Shrubs and trees can be purchased or ordered anytime.

WHAT IS A LENTEN ROSE?
If you haven't already, you'll be seeing the graceful blooms of the lenten roses apprearing soon. Many of you may not be familiar with this plant. In the Hellebore family this evergreen is ranked among one of the top 100 plants of all times for your landscape! Very impressive considering there are thousands of plants! This plant is evergreen, drought tolerant, blooms in the winter/early spring and not on the deer menu! Although a shade loving plant, the lenten rose will tolerate the sun. Take a few minutes and do your own research. I'm sure if you're not already a fan you soon will be of this one of a kind plant.
Looking for winter color? This winter kale(peacock white) thrives in cold temps.
Plentifall(trailing) pansies
